Today I am working on a few books for clients and thought I would share some of the layouts I have done with you. First are a few layouts from Sarah & Erik's fall wedding at The Jeykll Island Club.

Please note: the orange lines are not in the final layout, they are cut off guidelines in the design software.
As a photographer, I am excited to see some of the new color waves in Wedding Decor. More and more you see people using multiple hues of the same color rather than just one solid color and then mixing it up with new color combinations that you haven't seen before. Check out these storyboards....... who wouldn't want to attend these parties?
1st - Here are images I found on Rebecca Thruss's website. I love the deep purple & mustard combo.

2nd - This lovely storyboard is from "Style Me Pretty's" color contest. Who would have thought yellow and grey would be so pretty?
I also found this invite on Wedding Paper Divas (whom I LOVE) and thought it matched the grey and mustard PERFECTLY!

Tomorrow night Atlanta Wedding's Magazine is hosting a gala event at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. The coverage charge is $10 per person, I will be there and hope to see you there as well! Here are the details:

This past weekend we visited my parents in NC and it was so much fun! I often forget the peace and quiet of where I was raised and that I need to share this with my children much more often! We spent the weekend at the Lake House Lodge and our favorite thing by far was jumping from the dock into the lake! Here are a few pictures. I am even brave enough to post one of me in a bathing suit! Yikes!
P.S. These shots were taken with a Canon SD700 PHD (Push Here Dummy) camera! I love that little thing for vacations!
We are off to NC to visit my parents and to enjoy some fresh mountain air! Why is going on vacation so much work? You have to get the car serviced, arrange care for the animals at home, wash laundry, pack for your husband, and, if you have kids, packing means... toys, books, movies, band-aids, "lovies", etc. By the time I am ready to hit the road, I need a NAP!
........ and just in case you were thinking about it, our house has a fence, an alarm system, nosey neighbors and a HUGE dog...........OK, not really, but one bad ass cat is watching over stuff, so don't get any ideas! Enjoy your weekend and I will post pictures from our adventure next week!
I have a confession. My husband has to spell check my blog. :)
Every week or so Dave logs on to my account and corrects my grammar and such. I admit that I can not type.. or spell... so, I will stick to taking pictures!
Just today, he sends me an IM and asks me, "Why haven't you posted any of these 30 comments on your blog?" I had no idea what he was talking about and I was in shock! What comments? It seems in my current daze from the kids being out of school, I had not noticed the comments section and I LOVE COMMENTS!
I love what I do for a living and a big part of that is people read my silly ramblings! So please, keep them coming and if you have something interesting for me to blog about, please send it my way. I can use it on the days my brain is " out to lunch"!
I had a friend call me today and ask me my opinion on a birth announcement and right away I thought about Tiny Prints!
I am a huge fan of getting pictures in the mail, so this is to die for!

Not Really! I have been M.I.A to celebrate my birthday! In that, I have been busy eating chocolate, going to the spa (twice), sleeping, sunbathing, shopping, etc. I am a happy girl! So, now I am all grown up and willing to admit it. I am not 29 this year, nor have I been 29 for the past 5 years - I am 34!
Yeah!, I admit it. I am getting old! I require naps, moisturizer, tweezers, root touch-ups, etc. With that said, I will take 34 over 24 any day... Life is good!
Yesterday to celebrate my upcoming birthday, my assistant presented me with the coolest pair of shoes! Love them! The crazy thing, they are by Carlos... as in Carlos Santana! How does a Latin man go from playing the guitar to designing women's shoes???

Getting married in 2008 and have not yet selected a photographer??? It is not too late! I have some open weekends later this year that I would like to book up & I am currently offering special "End of 2008" rates. If your getting married between now and December then please email me for special rates.
Thank you, Christine
Lisa & Daman"s wedding ceremony took place at Peachtree Christian and the reception followed at the Twelve Hotel's ballroom. The bride selected chocolate and red as her main colors and added a splash of green. The couple's furry children also made a guest appearance at the party and dined at their own puppy table!
Hi everyone, I got an email this morning from a bride, she pointed out that my website inquiry screen is down. It will be Monday before I can talk to tech support, so until then please email me directly to: info@christinegallagher.net Thanks, Christine

So I took the past few days to clean the house and play with my little ones, now I feel energized and ready to take on the world :)
Every morning I start the day by reading wedding blogs over a cup of coffee. Yesterday I came across this lovely wedding and wanted to share it with you. The couple got married at city hall in private and followed it with a amazing little party to celebrate. It is so sweet and pretty yet so personal and intimate. I love it!
The theme was modern, rustic & chic - just my style!
Visit: project wedding for the complete story and tons of pictures and ideas! Enjoy!
I once read a quote that said:
"Every daughter needs a father to set the example of which she will hold all men".
Happy Fathers Day Dad & thank you...
Boy was I moody yesterday! I ended up playing hooky and going to the pool with the kids, followed by going flower shopping at the local nursery. I am glad it is friday, I have a lovely wedding this weekend and I will be sharing it with you all next week!
Have I mentioned to you before that I LOVE weddings.
I work in an industry filled with emotion, love and beauty, how can u not adore that! In that, I want to get married over and over! Today, I want a spring wedding, it only seems fitting as I wrap up the spring wedding season!
Since my husband would rather scrub our toilets for the rest of his life then pay for another wedding, I have to live through my clients!
Speaking of spring, next year is booking up Fast! I am excited though, so far I am photographing a friend of a friends wedding, my contest winners wedding and a Charleston event. These are only April, what will May hold?
Stay tuned...
Here is are a few pictures of Megan & Paul, I will be back on monday to share their wedding with you, enjoy your weekend!
Some mornings a cocktail would start the day off better than a cup of coffee. I love my life. I have a great career, a handsome, adorable (sometimes a handful) husband and 3 amazing kids! With that, I have laundry that is never complete, play dates, teacher meetings, homework, karate, swim lessons, soccer practice, birthday parties, the list goes on and on. In there somewhere you find time for friends & family and... work.
I work from my home on most days. My 4 year old knows when I am shooting or meeting with clients by the fact I am not in sweats! Life is good but today.. I need a maid, a nanny & a nap! Oh, and a personal assistant that knows photoshop. Is that too much to ask for?
My 34th birthday is mid July and I am shopping for a short get away for my husband and I. While doing so, I thought that I could share with you some of the amazing places I have stayed and loved.
The Sagamore Hotel - Miami.
I LOVE this place, anyone who enjoys art and the sun could fall in love with this cute boutique South Beach hotel.
Rosemary Beach - Florida
Two years ago for my birthday, my husband and I spent a weekend in Rosemary Beach and you really could not ask for a quieter more peaceful place to get away. With its amazing architecture, private pools & miles of private paths, Rosemary Beach is a place you will want to return to time and time again.
Cheeca Lodge - Florida Keys
An oasis in the keys like no other, warning there is no starbucks in the keys! But the Strawberry Daiquiri's are amazing!!!!
The inn @ Half Mile Farm
Highlands N.C getaway perfect for two.
Serenbe- South of ATL
Of course, I could not leave out Serenbe!
This past weekend my husband & I, along with some friends decided to brave camping with 6 kids. Ha. Ha. Ha.
As a kid, I loved to camp and think it is something all kids should experience. With that said, I consider ruffing it a 3 star hotel!
You always hear that bears enter campgrounds for food, but honestly.. we listen and think it is a urban legend and continue to roast marshmallows in peace. WELL... This weekend, we actually DID have a bear in our camp! I could write on and on about our adventure but I will leave it at this. It literally scared the pee out of me and well, the bathroom was on the other side of the camp! As I walked arm and arm to the restroom with our nanny and nothing but a flashlight in the darkness , all I could think was... WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?
Ahhhhh, it's is good to be home!
Kathy & Ryan wed this weekend at a cute little church in the highlands followed by a fab reception at the Fox. To view more of their wedding, visit: www.christinegallagher.net/Kathy&Ryan
Yesterday before meeting with some potential clients, I did a little shopping and came across these napkins that cracked me up. And the best part, it is TRUE!

Kristi & Adam are having an Earth Day themed wedding April 25th 2009. Kristi is a earthy hospice social worker and the preppy Adam works for Cousins Construction. I call the wedding "Brooks Brothers meets Mother Nature!"
After a proposal at Serenbe, the couple decided on The Houston Mill House for the ceremony & reception. Kristi says: "The quaint, rustic, and natural setting felt at home for us and we knew it was where we wanted to be married as soon as we drove up to it".
I got to spend a few minutes with the couple this weekend for a quick engagement session and found them to be a super sweet couple with great photographic chemistry. I am excited to capture their wedding and to share their story with you along the way. Congrats to Kristi & Adam for winning my first annual Creative Bride Contest!
Here is a storyboard of images showing some of the details that Kristi & Adam visualize for their wedding day. With a palette of green & blue, the couple plans to serve limeade & blueberries in Mason Jars. The favors will be baby trees wrapped in colorful green & blue fabric to flow with the earth day theme. Stay tuned as the details unfold on their causal yet elegant wedding!
Today I came across a great site for weddings: Luna Bazzar, check it out!

I was so EXCITED to visit N.Y.C, but not nearly as as excited as I was to get back home! Carrie Bradshaw sure does have a way of making N.Y seem like such a glamours place but it's just not for me. Maybe if I got to walk down Park Ave. in her Manolo Blahniks then I would feel different, but my tired nikes are very happy to be resting in my closet back home here in Atlanta.
This past weekend I felt as if I was photographing American royalty. I am sure as laid back as Jessica & Shep. are that they would laugh at the thought! However, this couple has what it takes: Great looks, big hearts & a huge sense of community & family. I wish them much success in life!

On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Adrienne & Zealous's elegant affair at the Biltmore. As a jewerly designer, she made sure all the details were in place and with the help of Ashley Baber the event was perfect!

Wednesdays are my sit at the computer and edit, edit away day but today I have the windows open, the air is cool and I can hear the birds outside. If you have to be stuck inside, this is a nice way to do it. I came across this image today at Rebecca Thuss and I wanted to follow this girl where ever she was headed. I thought it represented the springs beauty perfectly!

I loved this wedding, Jenna & John hosted a derby day wedding in S.C, it was a amazing event! If you'd like to see her slidshow, visit: www.christinehatfield.com/Jenna&John Enjoy!
I am heading to S.C to photograph a derby theme wedding in the morning. Then Sunday night I have a wedding at the Biltmore that I hear is going to be an amazing event as well. And yes, I have to finish the commercial shoot from below and I have portrait session somewhere in there. So... it appears the spring wedding season has hit with a one two punch!
I hope everyone has a good weekend & I will check in on Monday after my whirlwind weekend!
In 2006 when Dave & I got married, we had 30 kids at our wedding. To offer the parents a break, we hosted a separate party for the little ones complete with movie, treats, pizza, etc. It was a hit for both the parents and the kids.
While online today I came across this site: Wedding Belles Etc.. and see that they offer a party service for kids while the big kids are having a party.
What a great idea!

Today I am featured Brides.com, check it out!
